• Mesa Verde National Park is located about one hour from the Town of Dove Creek. It is the site of numerous ancient Pueblo dwellings that date back to A.D. 600. The entrance to the park is 9 miles east of Cortez and 35 miles west of Durango in Southwestern Colorado on US Highway 160.
• Canyonlands National Park and Arches National Park are less than two hours away. In Canyonlands one can view the beautiful scenery of canyons, buttes, and mesas created by the Colorado River. In Arches, a person can see over two thousand natural stone arches.
